My sister was in town this past weekend with her college friend Kelly Ferguson. They were meeting up with some other friends for a girls' weekend. Here we all are at brunch:

Saturday actually began with Maddie discovering that the Aunties had arrived! As Tracy said, "We flew in on our broomsticks!" Maddie very much loves to have company, so she was in a spectacularly good mood.
But after I put her down for her morning nap we were off. We had a busy day ahead of us. First it was brunch at the Essex ($16 and it includes THREE FREE DRINKS!). Then we headed up to the Time Warner Center where they were practically giving stuff away. Except at Sephora. Apparently women buy more lipstick when the economy sucks.
Then it was off to a nearby salon for manis/pedis. We then hung out at Alena's apartment with chips, beer and football. Finally it was off to McGee's pub to meet the boys for food and drinks.
